Working in early childhood intervention

Working in early childhood intervention means working in partnership with families, using family-centred practice principles.

Early childhood intervention practitioners work in mutually supportive teams, minimising the number of professional relationships the child and family require, in order to address their goals. In some Early Childhood Intervention services the teams work through key workers (or key contacts), who are coached or directly supported by team members from relevant disciplines, as needed.
